What are the Benefits of MCT Oil?
MCT Oil is produced from coconut or palm kernel oil through a process called fractionation, separating medium-chain triglycerides from other fatty acids. This neutral-tasting, clear oil delivers fast-acting energy that your body readily transforms into ketones. MCT Oil benefits include enhanced mental clarity, sustained energy levels and increased fat-burning potential. Health-conscious individuals incorporate MCTs into their daily diet to boost overall wellness, support gut health, and facilitate weight management and they prove especially beneficial when incorporated into ketogenic and low-carbohydrate dietary regimens.
MCT Oil also supports digestive health, stamina and endurance and helps reduce bodily inflammation. Whilst researchers continue to investigate these advantages, MCT Oil remains an excellent choice for anyone seeking a pure, potent energy source.

Is MCT oil the same as coconut oil?
Medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil and coconut oil have gained popularity with the rise of ketogenic diets. The key distinction between MCT oil and coconut oil is their composition: MCT oil contains purely medium-chain fatty acids, while coconut oil comprises both medium-chain and long-chain fatty acids.
Who should not use MCT oil?
MCT oil may not be suited to everyone. If you are dealing with any of the following conditions, it's best to proceed with caution or consult a healthcare provider before proceeding:
- Diabetes – MCTs can affect insulin and blood sugar levels, so people with diabetes should seek medical advice before consuming MCT oil.
- Liver Disorder – Since the liver metabolises MCTs, individuals with liver conditions (such as cirrhosis or hepatic insufficiency) should avoid MCT oil, as it may put additional strain on the liver.
- Digestive Problems – Some people experience gastrointestinal discomfort, including diarrhoea, bloating, or cramping, when consuming MCT oil, especially in high doses or if they take too much.
- Fat Metabolism Disorders - People with conditions that impair fat metabolism should avoid MCT oil, as their bodies may struggle to process it effectively.
What is MCT oil, and how is it related to coconut and palm oils?
Medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) oil is a type of fat derived primarily from coconut oil and sometimes palm kernel oil. It consists of medium-length chains of fats that are more easily digested than longer-chain fatty acids found in other oils.
Are there environmental concerns associated with sourcing MCT oil from coconut or palm kernel oils?
Environmental concerns include deforestation and habitat destruction when unsustainably harvesting coconuts or palm kernels. These activities can lead to loss of biodiversity and increased greenhouse gas emissions. Sourcing from RSPO-certified producers helps mitigate these issues.
How does the production of MCT oil impact the sustainability goals set by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)?
The RSPO aims to promote sustainable practices in palm oil production. MCT oil sourced from sustainably certified palm kernel oil aligns with these goals by reducing deforestation, protecting biodiversity, and ensuring fair labour practices.
Why is sustainability a concern with palm oil production used in making MCT oil?
Palm oil production often leads to deforestation and habitat destruction and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) aims to promote sustainable practices to mitigate these environmental impacts.
Can coconut-derived MCT oil be considered more sustainable than palm-derived MCT oil?
Coconut farming generally has a lower environmental impact than conventional palm oil plantations. However, both industries face challenges such as land use efficiency and local ecosystem effects. Sustainability depends on specific agricultural practices.

The best Coconut MCT oil on the market.
I don’t have any specific comment on this product. So far it’s a good MCT product
I started having this with my Collagen in the morning. It has in my opinion improved the performance of the Collagen especially with regards to feeling fuller for longer and having little to no joint pain.
MCT oil got delivered to me within 24hrs. I bought it for my 14 year old daughter who gets grand mal seizures and doctors just prescribe AED without confirming if its Epilepsy or what’s the cause for it. We are doing homeopathy medication, keto diet and MCT oil. So far so good, no seizures.
Enjoying this in my coffee and in my broth 🙂
